So last week, I did a week challenge of body positivity. I wanted to do this idea for the longest time, and I finally got the chance to do it. I think it is important to do body positivity exercise. It was fun to do, and I learned more about myself. Having confidence with your body does not take a week challenge to fix, but I wanted to try new ways to develop body positivity. I have learned new tips you can try doing that will help you love your body more. I recommend everyone do this because you will be surprised how much confidence you have with your body by the end of the week.
Listen to music that makes you feel confident

I love music, and listening to songs that make me feel confident, makes me stay positive. So before the week started, I made a playlist of songs that make me feel strong and powerful for the week to come. I knew music was going to have a big impact on me since all I do is play music in the background. I would usually wake up and listen to the playlist in the background while I’m getting dressed for the day. The playlist definitely made me feel confident in my body for the whole week.
Here is the playlist if you want to listen:
Post positive affirmations on your mirror

Sometimes we need a reminder of how we are amazing human beings. We get in our head and think negatively about ourself when we have so many good qualities. Writing positive affirmations on post-it notes and sticking it to your mirror helps remind yourself that your body is not your personality. Instead of writing about your appearance, write things that are deeper than just the way you look. Examples are “I am growing into the best version of me” or “I love you just the way you are.” It may be silly at first, but when you start doing it for a, while you will finally feel that you are those things.
Have supportive people around you

People have a big impact on you even if you don’t like to admit it. I would always say that people don’t influence me, but in reality, they do. Your environment affects you, so having people around you that are supportive and not judgmental about your body helps find body positivity. People showing support help you feel confident in the way you look and make you feel appreciated. You should try to stay away from people who are not supportive. This will only lower your self-esteem and hurt your mental health.
Get rid of clothes that don’t fit

Wearing clothes that are too small for you doesn’t help your confidence or your body image. It allows yourself to think about the weight you gain or how your body has changed. Having clothes that don’t fit makes it harder to find clothes that do in your wardrobe. You shouldn’t hold on to things that don’t have value to you. So keeping clothes that make you feel uncomfortable should be given away. Imagine how you will feel afterward, a sense of relief knowing the next time you plan an outfit, all your clothes will fit you perfectly.
Do something nice for yourself

When was the last time you did something nice for yourself? Because believe me when I didn’t even know what that even meant. I was confused if it meant buying yourself a gift (which is an example) or having a spa day (which also an example). Doing something nice for yourself is when you make yourself feel special. It can be anything with you buying yourself flowers or even taking a long walk. It doesn’t matter as long as you enjoy it. What I did for my week challenge was I spent time doing yoga. I haven’t done yoga in a long time, and it made me feel relaxed and grounded.
