Give a summary of how your blog started

The funny thing is I never thought I would be blogging. I usually like keeping my writing to myself. But since this quarantine, I was inspired to start a blog. (when I think back, it was an irrational decision without thinking about how much work it was, but I love that I’m doing it!) I wanted to do something that I knew would help people find love for themselves.

I like sharing my opinions and thoughts about what I care about, and blogging was a great way to do so while helping people. I started six months ago, where I created an Instagram account sharing original quotes that I use to self remind myself and others. My blog meant to share my tips on self-improvement through music, fashion, multimedia, and skincare. I enjoy everything about blogging, and I’m glad to be apart of an amazing community.

Two pieces of advice for any new bloggers

Since I still consider myself a fairly new blogger, I don’t know what I’m doing. Nevertheless, I do have advice that helped me through blogging.

My first piece of advice is to make blogs that connect with your readers as a person. When I first started blogging, I didn’t know that people like when a blogger talks a little bit about themselves in their blogs. Having the ability to find a connection with your reader helps them feel like there is a person behind the writing. Also can help your blogs be more engaging. Blogging is your opportunity to embrace who you are. So when you are writing a blog post, think about how to connect to the reader as a human who has life experiences.

My second piece of advice is to post whatever you want. It’s easy to post things that you know will get more views than others. Blogging should be fun and not a drag to do. Whenever I feel like I’m forced to post something, I take a mental break and come back with a new mindset. You should always think back to why you started and stick to that plan. Post things that make you happy and not what you think other people will enjoy. You will see how many people love the work you do by posting what you want to post.
